WTS: Sistema 1911-OPEN TO OFFERS

#1

Post by JLaw »

Up for sale is a Sistema 1911. After purchasing the pistol I replaced every spring in the pistol, it also has a new curved mainspring housing (the checkering on the old one was not 'sticky' enough), new wood grips, grip screws and bushings, new TruDot night sights, extended beavertail grip safety, commander hammer and extended thumb safety, all new pins, and a black Duracoat finish. I've only put ~300 rounds through the gun since it was re-done a few years back.

I can't get updated pictures at the moment, so here's the ones from after it's re-paint. The only difference is on the left side (opposite of ejection port), on the bottom side of the slide near muzzle end there is a horizontal wear mark in the finish from the slide moving back and forth when firing.

This one has been a safe queen obviously, 300 rounds in a few years is nothing. The pistol has functioned 100% perfectly, have not had any stoppages with good magazines.

The package includes the pistol, 3 old metalform style magazines, 3 new Kimber 8 round magazines, and a plastic gun case. If you'll meet me FTF the package also includes 50 rounds Remington JHP ammo and 63 rounds American Eagle FMJ ammo. Package price is $500 OBO.

New 3 rounds down the tube. WWII Commemorative Model 888 M1 carbine 30 cal. It is made by Israel Arms International (IAI) Houston, Texas and put together in Liberty, Texas. The M888 M1 carbine is made in the USA. It has a new receiver, match grade barrel, 2 mags, and wood stock. All made by IAI and assembled with unused Mil-Spec parts to produce a light weight low recoil rifle.

So the only thing left from the original gun is the slide, barrel, frame, extractor, sear, leaf spring, firing pin?

Here is something interesting you can do with that Sistema.

That's a darn shame to inflict that on any 1911, but it was almost understandable back when Sistemas were $129. Now that the surplus market has dried up, you might as well do the same to a 1942 Remington-Rand.
