GUN OWNERS
If you think Health Care is making your eyes pop out, check out
HR 45!
We should be screaming at the top of our lungs over this one!
For those who believe in snopes, it was posted today
http://www.snopes.com/politics/guns/blairholt.asp" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
Concerning the Blair-Holt proposed legislation. Senate Bill SB-2099 introduced by Bobby Rush (D-Ill) it will require us to put on our 2009 - 1040 federal tax form all guns that you have or own. It may require fingerprints and a tax of $50 per gun.
This bill was introduced on Feb.. 24. This bill will become public
knowledge 30 days after it is voted into law.
This is an amendment to the Internal Revenue Act of 1986. This means that the Finance Committee can pass this without the Senate voting on it at all.
This is just another "sneak attack" by the Obama administration to slowly chip away our "Freedom Of Choice" in our Great Country.
If you have any doubt on this proposed amendment that is on the U.S. Senate homepage, check it out at: http://www.senategov/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
In checking with Snopes & TruthorFiction, both list this as the TRUTH
IF you know who to call; I strongly suggest you do so. Please send a copy of this e-mail to every gun owner you know.

Re: Can anyone validate the accuracy of this?
I don't think we have anything to worry about......
"This bill is in the first step in the legislative process. Introduced bills and resolutions first go to committees that deliberate, investigate, and revise them before they go to general debate. The majority of bills and resolutions never make it out of committee."
To track this bill see govtrack.us:

This has been discussed before. It's not going to happen. It's brought up every year, and shot down every year.

Re: Can anyone validate the accuracy of this?
It did seem too far out there but, with the current political make up of the Congress and Der Obama in the White House you never know. I am glad to see this is one of those items that is always introduced and always flops, you just hope that nobody sneaks one by when we are not looking.
Thanks guys!

You welcome, and thank you Neal for pointing it out. We can never, ever let our guard down on nonsense like this, like you said.
