The WalMart at N Garland and George Bush had a few boxes of Federal 9mm left earlier this evening after both myself and another customer relieved them of our 6 box quota. $8.97/box. This is the second time I've found 9mm there in the last month or so.

Actually factory ammo runs closer to $2 a round and up but you can occasionally find some for $1.50.

If your friend doesn'y reload, I'll give him/you 10 cents apiece for the brass.

Well shooting a Bill Drill (6 rounds as fast as possible at target) is a true experience, when I did one at 5 yards the muzzle flash ignited the cardboard target. :mad5

Using Ranier plated bullets, I am able to load range ammo for about 20 to 25 cents a round so we can shoot it quite a bit. Everytime we leave the range after a Master Blaster session, I hear mutterings about bleeding ears, siesmic surveys, too much gun for elephants and people rich enough to buy ammo. :fire But NOONE ever turns down a chance to shoot it when offered. :evil2:

Yikes, I'll be sure to pass that on before buying something on his behalf then. It has obviously been a while since he last shot his beast, and I thought that I was allowing for a little wiggle room by guesstimating at around the $1.50 mark. Thanks for the info, I've never be happier with what I have already :thumbs2:

Back to topic, Academy at Gessner and 59 has lots of 40, 45 and 9mm, several brands of all, usual high prices seen elsewhere in this thread.

I just left the wally world at spring creek and 75 in Plano. The clerk told me that he is due to get ONE case...yep...just ONE case of 380 on tonight's truck. He said he will be there at 7am tomorrow. I know some of you are on a search for the hard to find 380 and thought it might just help someone. I don't think you can get your hands on it tonight since they quit selling ammo at 10. he gave me the impression that tomorrow at 7 would be when it is available. He also said he is scheduled ONE case...just ONE of 45 ACP. He said it would be the WWB 100 count. I need some 45 but not bad enough to get up at 7am on Saturday morning. :tiphat:

Hope this helps someone.

I found a good supply of Remington 230g FMJ .45 at Dick's Sporting goods in Cedar Hill this morning. They also had about 8-10 boxes of WWB .380. Both were $19.99 for a box of 50. I didn't take inventory of the other sizes, but they had a decent supply for a change. The guy behind the counter was shocked that they had as much as they did.

Hmmmm..... .380 ammo showing up in quantity at 2 different locations in 2 different parts of the state.

Could .380 ammo be the ammo equivalent of Punxsutawney Phil, the ground hog? "rlol"

Guilty as charged. I have failed... :cryin . Now I am wishing I had asked. The 45 was the usual walley world price of 29 for 100. By the way. Academy had 40, 45 and lots of 9mm in every variaty known. The prices on it were much higher than wally world, but they had plenty. The wwb 100 round 9mm was 24.99 and the wwb 45 was 41.99  .
