Lost CHL app. ??????

#1

Post by viperjock »

Hello. I mailed my app. on June 6, 2009. After logging in on the DPS website to check status I see this status message, "No application or license/certificate active." Does this mean my app is lost or simply not logged?

Thanks.

Call or email them right away. I have always found them to be very responsive. They should be able to quickly determine the status of your app.

Took 40 days to get my PIN by mail and my status was processing application the first time I logged in. New applications sit in a queued stack until they are opened and processing begins. Since I did not apply on line, just sent in the packet after the class, my first notifications was the arrival of the PIN. If the backlog hasn't grown, you should see yours switch to processing very soon.

Did you do the online application? If so, you should be seeing Packet Mailed to Applicant and not No Application/License Exists. If you didn't do it online, have you received your PIN in the mail yet?

Also are you looking at the right application? You'll get that message if you're looking at the instructor license tracker

I sent my completed packet in on June 8th or 9th and my online status still says, "Packet mailed to applicant".

I just sent my second follow up request via email. My first one from a couple of weeks ago never got a response.

One of the advantages of sending the old school paper application and paying by personal check is they deposit those checks within 2 or 3 days even if they don't enter the applications into the computer until weeks or months pass, so the check clearing the bank is proof they have yor application even if they're not doing anything with it.

"

is it possible that it means your license has been issued so there is no application on file?

I see the TX DPS cashed my check so they obviously have the app. in hand. DPS website still states, "no application on file" so they are obviously slammed. At least it's not lost, now just a waiting game.

Thanks.

That's what I did tonight, DOOHH!!.

Just didn't read carefully enough, the Check Status link at the bottom tends to stand out and if you don't pay attention like me :banghead:

Looking in the correct spot, I am now in processing.
