Haha, well now that finals are over for me, I am stuck doing nothing until the summer semester starts on June 9. I pull the Henry lever action out to pass the time these days.

I was hoping to be in processing status by now. I sent a letter to DPS asking for some information. That will probably take 2 weeks for a reply. :banghead:

Just wanted to update my activity. Good to see that DPS can get some things rolling. I talked to CHL instructor he said that some counties are faster than others at getting BG checks done which he believes speeds up getting plastic, two classes before mine he had everyone get them in 3 weeks. Mine went from App Received to processing quick, but we will wait and see. I sure hope that it is not to painful a wait for all you that I am waiting with. Good luck to all

4/18/2009 Submitted Online application with Payment
4/19/2009 Payment Deducted from account
4/25/2009 Took Class
4/28/2009 Submitted Application Certified Mail (received pin)
4/29/2009 DPS Received application
5/13/2009 Processing
x/xx/2009 Approved
x/xx/2009 Received card

3 weeks? I have a hard time believing that. I don't think they've issued CHLs in 3 weeks in the whole time we've had CHL in Texas.

I told myself today will be the day, and it was! The day the status change to "Processing Application" that is. Woot! Exactly 6 weeks after they received it. Anyone have any idea on how the wait for apps in Galveston county vs Harris and others? Thanks!

I'm with you. My biggest fear was the possability of having something rejected, and then starting over again.
