Holsters in DFW

#1

Post by Eddie2612 »

Im looking for a store that will have multiple IWB holsters for my Glock 19. I have read the reviews and studied multiple models via the web - but in my opinion nothing beats "trying it on".. What stores (other than bullet trap) will carry holsters that I could look at? --- Or, is a Gun Show my best bet?

Gun show will be your best bet to be able to try it on. My oppinion.
I have never seen at a gun show a multitude of the brands you have probably looked at on the net.
YMMV

The Bullet Tap in Plano has just about every Galco model hanging on the wall - but they are all right handed models

Rays down on Singleton has bins of various makes of holsters separated by gun model.

Gun show is your best bet. Most places that carry holsters carry from 1-3 brands. Bass Pro Shop and Cheaper than Dirt carry more holsters than anywhere else I have seen in DFW but they still only carry 3-4 brands.

DFW Gun Range on Mockingbird has a decent selection, although not quite as good as BT.

I am headed to the Ft. Worth gun show to grab a new holster...they have large number of dealers and you can compare models.

Winchester Gallery in Ft. Worth has a room dedicated to holsters, vests, bags and accessories. One wall is full of holsters from 5 or 6 manufacturers. If you're going to be in F.W. it's worth a trip to go there.

Joe, where is Winchester Gallery? I've heard about it, but haven't ever known where it is.

Mike, it's in the S.W. corner of Loop 820 east, and Lancaster Avenue, on the east side of F.W. And I mean the immediate s.w. corner.

If you are exiting off of Loop,820 take the Lancaster exit. I assume you're coming in from I-20, so when you exit 820, go west on Lancaster and just over the 820 bridge, you'll see it off to your left. You'll have to go down Lancaster a ways, and do a u turn to get back headed east to make the entrance into their parking lot.

DPSS in downtown Dallas has truckloads to choose from. It's on pearl and elm.
