Isn't there a senate bill just like this scheduled for a public hearing on Monday?

It'll be interesting to see how far it goes.
I haven't done a lot of research it is not as wide open as Montana's version.

When is someone going to come up with a way to challenge the distorted overuse of the commerce clause?
IIRC, the original purpose of the commerce clause wasn't about regulating products, but to ensure interstate trade was accomplished fairly. i.e., state A couldn't charge state B more than state C.
