Anyone know if they have different people handling the paperwork for certain counties? All the guys I know (up here in Bowie County) got their licenses before the 60 day mark and said they weren't near as careful and paranoid about their apps as what I've seen from the people on this site.

Wow...this couldn't go fast enough...

Last night fairly late my roommate and I were coming home. As we pull into the driveway a car coming from the opposite direction slows down. We pull the car in the garage and the car stops on the street behind our driveway, essentially blocking it. Roommate and I check the mirrors and the guy gets out of his car. Roommate had a 13 inch screwdriver under the drivers seat so he casually grabs it and we get out of the car and go inside and close the garage door. Once inside the house we grab the shotgun and a couple shells just in case and watch out the front and the guy is just standing out there by his car looking at our house for about 5 minutes. He finally gets back in and leaves, but man, that was really weird...we will definitely be keeping an eye out for awhile...there have been a few break-in's in this area before

Well, I'm in the April club as well. Took the course on 4 Apr, and submitted my paperwork on the 6th. Haven't heard anything, and guess I don't really expect to, for a while. Since I'm active duty military, I didn't have to pay any fees through the state, so the fact that they got $00.00 from me will push my application to the bottom of the stack I'm sure. I've heard that if your fingerprints are on file with the FBI (for a security clearance) it slows the process down. Can anyone confirm this?

I've been spending a lot of time on this forum gaining knowledge from others' experiences. Have also been carrying around the house trying to ensure I don't print and all. I've read postings where people are talking about checking the status of their application on line. Tells you how slow I am...I didn't know you could do that. Where do you go? I haven't gotten a PIN or anything yet.

It hasn't even been 30 days yet, and I'm not sure why I'm so anxious about getting the plastic. It's definitely nice to know there are plenty of other twisted folks out there in the same boat!! "rlol"

I am a Jan Applicant. I have a wedding/honeymoon in August. I will consider myself very lucky to have the plastic by that point!

Congrats to you by the way!
