GMCRetz = Chief Gunners Mate (United States Navy, retired) and Retz is the beginning of my last name (Retzlaff). It is usually the way that service members holler for each other; by your last name, nick name, or some version there of.

Online handle from when xbox live first started. Playing MotoGP I slid my bike into my friends bike walling him and taking 1st place. He shouted "You Son of a Gun!" Also I have an interest in astronomy and I like to say it is "Sun" (our sun) "nova" (when a star dies) and "H" (the element most represented in our sun).
I'd rather have a gun and not need it, than need a gun and not have it.

i honestly don't even remember all the specifics of my name. I've used phray since i was 12 or 13 and about all i remember is that i liked the word fray and i liked the 'f' sound being made by 'ph'. most of my friends call me phray, so i'm called by this name almost as often as i'm called by my given name. :coolgleamA:

Hos wrote:Hos is an acronym for HimOverSin ...as in God. Pronounced Hoss, like the guy from Gunsmoke (not to be confused with the "ladies of the night.")

Gunsmoke? Do you mean Bonanza, as in Hoss Cartwright played by Dan Blocker?

I used to watch a lot of westerns with my grandmother, not to mention it became a nickname for some reason when I was in the service.

The name Backwoods is simply my favorite place to be. Off the beaten path, in the middle of the woods. Still hunting or stalking in the cool morning air with a gun, a bow or a camera. Life doesn't get any better. :patriot: :txflag:

I used to fly R/C planes. I had an 84" long F/A-18 Hornet and all of the guys at work started calling me Jetboy. I added some initials and voila...the rest is history! :txflag:

First I read it from a book I think called war cries when I was in Junior high. It said the meaning was Hears the wolves. Since I have liked wolves since before I can remember, it sounded cool to me. After I got out of high school I look it up to see if the Author of the Book was making it up. But it turns out that nope was dead on. It seems that in Texas around 1830's to 1840's there was a war chief name Isimanica or Ismanica (depends on the writers) and it does mean hears the wolves. So that is the tale behind the name. Is unique and I have never found anyone else copying it. Use it for everything.
