Anoyed: That's why I got the Taurus PT1911; so I could get the ambidextrous safety without spending a fortune. I don't really care about the other fancy gizmos.

Very nice. I was set on a Raptor and had shown my wife pictures of one before I went to the shop about 18 months ago...came home with an Eclipse Ultra instead after playing with them at the counter. Robin still hasn't forgiven me...she thinks the Raptor is much prettier. ;-)

My Eclipse Ultra II was one of those that required a little extra break in and some polishing on the ramp to get it functioning flawlessly, along with an early extractor replacement, not sure whether to blame that on factory defect or the box of Wolf I put through it.

My son has the Taurus, and it is a good pistol.
