Yesterday I bought a Desert Micro Eagle at Carter's Country on I-10 between Voss and Echo Lane in Houston. They have lots of guns in stock; all brands, but they sell at MSRP. I haven't shot it yet. Carter's would only sell me 1 box of .380 ammo. They said that they were completely out of stock, but they reserved one box for every new gun that is sold. I have 500 rounds on backorder from MurphyUSA.

I think the trigger pull is a little stiff. The gun on display has an easier pull, probably because it's been dry fired lots by all the customers. I hope mine loosens up a bit. The other minor issue I have with the gun is re-assembly after it's broken apart for cleaning. It took me 5 minutes to get the slide positioned exactly right to be able to rotate the barrel simultaneously with holding the slide against the spring tension. It is hart to do this, but maybe I will get experienced with time.

The gun feels very comfortable and fits my pocket nicely, being very compact. I like the weight - about a pound loaded. It's not a plastic gun that feels cheap. This gun is finished nicely and is mostly stainless steel. The quality of manufacture is superior, and it's made in the USA.
