If Americans are the buyers, blame the buyers.

If Americans are the sellers, blame the sellers.

I think in both cases it makes more sense to blame the government because it's their job to secure the border from smuggling.

Everything is our fault if you're a member of the Blame America First crowd.

Isn' t part of the problem that Americans are buying illegal drugs? I thought this was a fair statement. Just wondering.
Sure, Americans are buying drugs. But it does not appear that our federal government has made a real effort to secure our borders. If they had done that, then maybe the supply of drugs would be a mere trickle. Instead, they have ignored our borders and national security for as long as any of us can remember. Drug smuggling is one symptom of poor border security.

To my way of thinking its our problem to secure the borders we want secured. If it isn't in the Mexican peoples interest to secure their own borders They shouldn't be asked to do it for us. The drug problem is our problem it isn't the Mexican people that smoke the crack. The guns problem is a Mexican problem. Let them solve their own problem. If Americans want to blow out their brains with crack let them. But why should it be a Mexican taxpayers problem. If I were the Mexican government I would encourage a legal trade and tax the transport of the drugs. It would eliminate a lot of the violence and force us to accept our responsibilies for our own border and this nations drug use. By the same token the Mexican Government has no bussiness telling us what our gun laws should be and telling us to restrict our own gun trade. A good neighbor has a good fence and minds his own business. Once my neighbor starts telling me how to conduct my business we have lost any communication between the two of us.

The real problem is that drugs are illegal to begin with. Make them legal and regulate them just like you do alcohol. Tax it like alcohol and solve the financial issues America is facing.

Too bad pot isn't easily taxable. The problem is that anyone can grow it.

Pot heads tend to be lazy sorts. I believe the prescribed folks in California are allowed to grow their own, yet they continue to go to the dispensarys. We still make a lot of money on beer an wine sales. And beer is easy enough to brew and wine isnt all that difficult. Neither are tomatoes or tobacco dificult to grow.
