I wouldn't count on gathering any information from any items in the rig itself. No kidding, the CB radio flew out of the front of the cab and burried itself in an interior wall of the hotel.

If you'd seen some of the crappy CB mounting methods I saw as a mobile comms installer, you'd be amazed that more people aren't killed by flying CBs in minor wrecks.

For all the faults, though, flash memory is tough. If a GPS were found, I'd bet data could be pulled from it.

It should be a fairly straightforward (not particularly simple by most standards, but your have three reference points - launch, tree impact, and building impact) ballistics equation.
