Probably just a weather balloon

I'm surprised, my plastic showed up today  Hate the picture though, I look like a thug, after that picture I actually started shaving my face so I didnt look quite like that  Not sure if I'll do a Wally walk or not, I cant get out of that place without spending 150 bucks, not to mention I'm not a fan of crowds at all. That 150 bucks would be better spent finding a shoulder holster so I can carry in my work uniform ( only way I see to do it ). But I'm itching to go out somewhere, so I might go tonight. We'll see..... So... I'm officially out of here :anamatedbanana

I know putting the gun in the console of the truck when I go somewhere, then taking it back out was getting old. Typically took 2 trips back and forth to the truck since I always have other things in my hands. Been doing that for a long time, but now it will be on me and I wont have to worry about it..

Edit: Went to Wally World for about an hr and half.. Uneventful as it should be.. Driving with a gun on your backside though, makes for a great lumbar  I needed it after standing in line to get out for 30 mins :???:

Im getting some confusing information on the dps page. Ive bee getting the usual processing application message ever since I got my PIN, until today it said No Application or License/Certificate Active. So just for the heck of seeing the message again, I checked it soon after and it was back at Processing Application. Is someone messing with me or could it be a good sign that the end is near?

You may have accidentally checked the status on your (non-existent) CHL INSTRUCTOR application, rather than your CHL application. It happens.

60TH day, my calls start tomorrow. Submitted a complete application, nothing missing, no delay, did not have to re-do anything and they still cannot issue in 60 days, I think that is crazy. I think if they cannot issue in 60 days, they should refund the 140.00.

anyone got any advice for me on what I should do? I emailed my State Senator and house rep with no reply.
I have called DPS and they say they have no idea when it should be back.
I am considering going down to dps and speaking with someone that may be willing to help or calling my senator, anyone have any advice?

Tough call dBex, I emailed both and the Rep did all he could, but he's a big CHL supporter, I never heard from the Senator and he won't be getting my vote next election. You are right around the cusp of completion, hang in there, it will happen.

Not bad for getting your plastic, congrats.

USP, P30L, H&K fan?
Corvette, good luck, my wife insists on driving one, not for me, I can count on one hand how many times I've driven it. And keep the warranty up.

Any 60 day issues from December application

#165

Post by DEADEYE1964 »

I have been reading in the December applications and I am not finding any applications that were RECEIVED by the DPS in December and the license was issued in the 60 day time frame. Like I said in an earlier post, my application was received 12/22/08 and was a complete package, everything was intact and they did not need any additonal information. The pictures, fingerprints and paperwork was in order and no Hurricane issues.

I would like to find out if there are many applicants out there that are in the same situation or if their license was issued in this time frame.

Thanks,
