What is the benefit of having a Utah permit in addition to the Texas CHL?

Coincidentally, though, my son does live it UT.

1.) It adds WA, NV and OH to the list of states that you can carry in.
2.) Gives you a backup if your Texas renewal takes to long.

I also leave my UT license in the truck (somewhere nobody would ever think to look) in case I ever forget or lose my wallet (some will argue this is not wise, I have already weighed the pros and cons of this approach).

Edit to add NV.
IANAL, what I write should not be taken as Legal Advice.
