Questions about Printing...

Well I am probably the only one, but I wear the Hawaiian shirts. I even wear them with dress pants when I make hospital visits. I have them for summer and winner.

Nah, I don't think you are Carl. I actually know quite a few guys that wear Hawaiian shirts as regular attire, and several of them do not carry. There are some very fashionable prints out there. They just don't look good on me.

Thanks guys! I have carried several times with my OWB holster and in a few days (Christmas) I will have my IWB holster. I can't wait to try out the IWB (M-TAC) the OWB holster I have from Comp-Tac rides a bit too high to be comfortable.

So far every time I have carried I felt like there was a spotlight on me. I guess it's just going to take a little time... I think the new holster will help as well.

Another quick question... do most people carry a spare mag in a mag holster or no?

The only time I carry a spare mag is when I wear my 5.11 t-shirt. It has 2 pockets. Otherwise, I generally do not.

When using a covering garment (jacket, loose shirt, etc.) yes.

Otherwise (with tuckable holster, etc.), no. In that case the spare mag always goes into the same place, oriented the same way, in the same support side pocket.

I've been running around to the store, the bank, and everywhere else with just a t-shirt over my Baretta PX4 (14+1) IWB at about 4 o' clock. No one has said anything. Only time I felt nervous was that other day when it was really windy.

One of my room mates is terrified of guns (can't they just go off?) doesn't know I carry, they haven't noticed either, and I'm always carrying.

I've been carrying my PX4 full size in an IWB, and often I have just a t-shirt as a "cover garment" and it works just fine.

I have been trying out my iwb while waiting for my plastic and it feels like any move I make it shows. When I wear it around my house no one seems to notice and even when I ask people are just like uhm.. nice shirt? I still think my wally walk after I get my plastic is going to feel like I am doing an open carry more than concealed

That's one of the main reasons for doing the WallyWalk. It doesn't take too long to realize that you are not the center of attention and you will be more comfortable with concealed carry.

After dressing I reach my hands way up in the air and lean in all directions to pull my shirt out enough that no matter what I am doing, my shirt won't be pulled tight over my gun so as to make it print.

I wish I could do this. I have a hard time finding shirts that are long enough.

Yeah, I am in that range of height/weight where shirts are either too short or look like I am wearing a poncho. It is very annoying, and makes me want to buy a full wardrobe of the same shirt when I find one that actually fits well.

Try quality shirts that come in tall sizes. Cabelas has lots of nice casual ones, and they're plenty long for me (6'2").

If you look for the sales and end of season specials, the prices aren't bad.

Also, you can sometimes pick up some nice Columbia shirts at Marshalls or other discount stores. They're priced at a fraction of their original cost, and they're terrific concealment garments.

Thanks for the advice. I usually hate shopping for cloths so I spend as little time as required to find enough to make do and have never had the will to really hunt down something. Now with the need to make sure it fits just right and covers more than just me I will have to do that.

I have found that the 5.11 Tactical shirts to be long enough for any of my movements while carrying OWB. They have become my everyday shirts because of this. They also have nifty "secret" document pockets. I have also had very good experience with Dickies work shirts. They are rather long on me, so I don't know what your experience would be with them with your body type - I'm large-framed, but not particularly "long", so these may be a good fit for you. I still wear them fairly regularly when my 5.11 shirts are dirty, and am quite pleased with the concealment they offer. I bought 5 of them at once when I found them, they fit my cover garment needs so well.
