December applications

#1

Post by cdc101 »

Howdy all.

I guess I will fit in with either November or December applications.

I did my online app on November 22. Got my packet and PIN today (12/6/08).

I'll be taking my CHL class on 12/6/08 (in Clute Texas next to AJC Sports) and will most likely be sending my packet out on December 8, 2008.

I'm in Brazoria County so Hopefully I won't have the same issues with the BC as Harris is having...fingers crossed.

Wish me luck!

Kinda the same thing here, I took the class on Nov 30th, sent it off by certified mail on the 1st, and am now waiting. With what I'm reading here I don't hold much hope for a quick process, being in Galveston County and all.

County-Galveston
Class-Nov 30th
Sent-Dec 1st

Yeah, I"d say you're December applicants.. people seem to consider their application when the state has all your "stuff" to start the process... until you have sent everything back to them, they're not on the clock. Good luck!

Got my wifes sent out today 12-9. She also did the online app. I am worried about one of her prints, right ring finger. She did do the electonic though so maybe it will fly. The machine passed it she said. We will find out.

Why are you worried at the prints? I ask that because I am paranoid about mine. I had mine done by an off duty sheriff at the class I took. For whatever reason on both cards one of my fingers didnt completely roll onto the card. Its hard to describe, but at the top of the card there is a small inverted triangle.

I asked they guy and he said that it will go through just fine and then was reassured by the folks running it that he has never had any of his prints come back. I am totally paranoid and dont want anything to slow my app down. I guess I will fret about this the entire time.

I have checked USPS and it showed my package was delivered to Austin on the 10th, however, the DPS site still shows application mailed. I know that I need to let them do their thing, but the wait is horrible. I'd really like to get my stuff BEFORE you know who is sworn in.

That's good to know!

It's also good to know that my endless checking of the status via DPS website on the weekends is not in vain! lol

DPS received application on 12-5-08 as per the date on my certified RR.

I got my packet at my class so I don't have a PIN yet. Will DPS mail that or is there some place I can go online to get it?

Thanks,
Scott
