In need of a lawyer to set up a trust

#1

Post by screename »

Hopefully, I am posting in the correct section. I did a search but came up empty so excuse me if I'm wrong.

Guys, once again, I need your help. I am looking for a lawyer in the houston area to set up 2 trusts for myself and a friend. We both have our chls and this will be for Class III items. We had one lawyer but for someone reason he has been too busy to meet up with us. Can anyone recommend another lawyer? Thanks.

First of all, welcome to the forum.

My suggestion would be to post this question on subguns.com or sturmgewehr.com

Both sites have NFA sections. I am looking for the same thing myself in the Dallas area, but haven't been active about it yet.

You could also contact your local class three dealer and they should be able to help. Both sites have a list of preferred dealers in every state, as well.

Out of sheer ignorance, I have to ask:

What is the reason for a trust for Class III?

It allows you to put in an ATF Form 1 or Form 4 without needing certain items, such as the fingerprints and the chief LEO sign off.
