I'm perhaps early... class is Saturday. I'll do all I can to make sure I'm an official November app though.

If you've done the online application, that shouldn't be a problem. I had my paperwork from the state in hand in under a week from the time i did the online app.

I'm new to the forum, though have been reading it about a week. I have enjoyed the advice, stories, and humor. I Certified mailed my packet today. The wait is on.

November '08 Applications

I really enjoyed the class. I was glad that I got 13 members from my unit to go with me. I had just as many enrolled, but with this weekend being the first weekend any of us have had in 15 months, alot of the folks didnt make it to class. It is good to be home, and I am glad to be in the "Waiting Room".

TexasRedRock....
:txflag: thank you for your service...and glad to have you back home. I'm sure trying to figure out what to do with your first weekend home was a hard one! glad you enjoyed the class...I took mine on Saturday and mailed everything off to Austin today too. Hopefully we won't be in for too long of a wait. I just read about one that had their's in 43 days :clapping: ...that's impressive considering what they were even just a month ago! it won't be long til it's here :fire

Well I can say that of the 14 members of my unit, there is a 95% chance that I am the only one to get my packet in the mail today. So depending on what the rest of the class did, ( about 50 students) I sure hope our wait isnt too long, I am thinking I should have it before the Super Bowl. Best of luck and Happy Waiting!! :totap:

DPS received my packet on Tuesday of last week and my status still says "packet mailed to applicant." LOL I know the wait is even longer after after that goes to "processing" but it's driving me crazy. LOL

Happy to say good ol' usps.com says they received my packet in Austin on 7 NOV. Of course, when I email them to ask for a PIN, they tell me the application hasn't been entered yet... :???:

So is it 60 days from receipt, or 60 from "application entered"?

...this could be a long 60 days...

Glad to meet y'all!
