Does anyone know a good site for knife laws? I live in Dallas. I found something that said anything 4" or under in Dallas is legal. So, does that mean any public place as well? What about bars?
Thanks

Dallas city code can be viewed at http://www.amlegal.com/dallas_tx/. There is a search function so you can look for the word "knife". As one who lives in Dallas, you would probably find the whole thing an interesting read anyway.

The State of Texas' definition of an illegal knife: § 46.01. 6) A) "Illegal knife" means a knife with a blade over five and one-half inches.
...and the City of San Antonio definition an illegal knife as Sec. 21-17. (a) It shall be unlawful for any person to intentionally or knowingly carry on or about his person a knife with a blade less than five and one-half (5 1/2) inches in length.
Coincidence?... I suppose, to legally cary a knife in San Antonio, it needs to be exactly 5 and 1/2 inches.
