Meanwhile, since this is my first 1911, how 'bout some pointers from you experienced classic shooters? Let me know what to be careful of and what "double action" habits I need to remember don't apply. I'll be making a large number of visits to the range before I make this my daily carry...I've already been convinced by everybody that I'll be an instant 1911 convert once I put my first eight through this one.

I'll be waiting for someone to recognise the device between the gun and the holster. Think British Sci-fi.
...just thought of something, need a good concealment holster for this one as well. Wonder if Galco makes an Air Marshal IWB for it?
Looks similar to the Doctor's Sonic Screwdriver.... :smilelol5:

Who's laughing. That is good personal defense shooting at any range. If I wanted a 10 shot ragged hole at 30 yds I would buy a 6" long slide.
Good gun too BTW.

Carry 24-7 or guess right.

Hey yall, this is my daily carry:

* Glock 30
* Wallet
* Lock Picks
* iPhone
* Comptac Infidel with a Gurkha Strut.
* Spare Magazine

I shoot federal hydroshocks right now. Just because its what my local hardware store sells and I like to support my home town. This gun has had 500 rounds put through it in the 5 months I've had it and its never jammed or failed to fire in any way.

You may think I'm crazy for carrying lock picks but they have saved my bacon a time or two. Also people love it when you can open their safes lol and I've gotten "ok" with them.

My wife peruses the forum with me from time to time,especially this thread. The first thing she noticed in the picture was not the nice equipment or setup. It was the 100 dollars bills peeking out of the wallet. Go figure.

haha that's my AR fund. My friend came over to help me take the pictures cause she's got a REALLY nice camera. She decided to look through my wallet and then convinced me to let them poke out a little bit lol. Girls just can't help poking around through things and they are soooo persuasive lol.

I'm more curious about the lock picks? computers and lock picks?
Laws that forbid the carrying of arms... make things worse for the assaulted and better for the assailants; they serve rather to encourage than to prevent homicides, for an unarmed man may be attacked with greater confidence than an armed man. Thomas Jefferson

You've never been locked out of something? lol.

Its really just a hobby of mine. I am getting better everyday. I need to invest in a quality set, but these do the job nicely.

Very nice carry package. Do you often carry both at once, or just rotate one of them?

JLaw
Six for sure.

JLaw I carry both every time I leave the house. Fast reload and do not have to worry about not having at least one if the other malfunctions. 10 rounds of .357 ain't bad. ;-)
