Interesting. I'm wondering if that's what is holding up some of the CHLs.

BTW, if I did the math right, 10/10/08 would be 92 days for you, not 120.

Did you know that 12345 is a valid zip code?
It's specific for GE in Schenectady, NY.

I don't understand why we can't just have a Texas Citizen's ID Card that contains all of the information about us, including licensure for driving and concealed carry of handguns. It sure would make all of this stuff more simple in my opinion.

It's just a shame we have to have a licence to exercise one of our enumerated Constitutional rights!

I prefer to keep the information on seperate cards. I don't want everyone who sees my driver's license (banks, employers, merchants, bartenders, etc.) to know I have a CHL. There's a reason that the law was changed to allow only law enforcement to access CHL status.

Point well taken.

I can understand the security enhancement part, but why did they have to make it so ugly? It's like they gave the design job to the tourism folks and told them to make it "light and happy" looking. :???:

Well, I got mine today, it was approved on Monday, and as far as I can tell this is Sept 2008, but mine is the old style card.

I’ve contacted my State Rep, Gary Elkins, about co-sponsoring HB560. Have you contacted your Rep?
