So I have to admit that I wasn't ever that good about avoiding Taco Cabana. I didn't go very often, but sometimes it was just what I wanted and I used the drive through to avoid the 30.06 problems.
Well I went to the one on Texas Ave. in College Station yesterday and I went in for the first time in quite awhile leaving the gun in the car since I knew it was posted (had seen it before). Well... it wasn't. Not anymore. The only sign up was a "unlicensed possession" TABC sign. The general manager was working the only register open and I was going to ask him about it, but there were other people in line and I didn't get a chance. As I see it this is a very good development and hopefully we will be finding out that the people at corporate realized they had a losing policy for at least their restaurants in Texas.

Re: Taco Cabana revisited
The few TC's on my side of town that we go to have only the "unlicensed possesion" signs. I do believe it is good to support someone who has changed their policies. Not only just for TC's sake, but for the fact that hopefully others will see and follow a good example.
Re: Taco Cabana revisited
I need to check the location near my house. I swore off TC because of the 30.06 issue, but have to admit I crave a big ol cabana bowl every now and then.
