West Nile Virus

Whether the need is great or small, there is power in prayer, especially when God's people raise their voices together.

My 22 yr. old daughter has delt with the West Nile Virus for several weeks now. She is recovering well and is out of danger , but side effects still linger. Please pray for Kristren for a complete recovery. God Bless You,

Prayer sent.
"If a man breaks in your house, he ain't there for iced tea." Mom & Dad.

The NRA & TSRA are a bargain; they're much cheaper than the cold, dead hands experience.

Been there, done that, and I'm very sympathetic to your daughter. I had a very mild case several years ago, but it was extremely unpleasant for about two weeks.

As I understand the disease, it seems that about 80% of those infected are asymptomatic. About 80% of those who do display symptoms will show mild to severe flu-like symptoms, with fever, lethargy, overall muscle soreness and moderate to extreme neck stiffness. (I was in that category.)

About 20% of symptomatic patients face severe to life-threatening symptoms, especially the very young, very old, and immuno-compromised patients.

I had Rocky Mountain Spotted Fever when I was 15, then West Nile when I was 40. That leaves Lyme or Eastern Equine to complete a hat trick, and I'd rather not go for the insect-vector triumvirate, thankyouverymuch.
