The Utah license is a standalone license and isn't dependent on having a CHL.brianko wrote:So why is a Utah non-res permit desirable over, say, the PA non-res permit that simply requires the applicant to have a valid resident CHL in another state? I can't quite figure out why one would want to go through CHL training again!

Re: Utah waiting room
It's not. Utah is desirable for those who have no Texas CHL. I did both of them almost simultaneously. The theory was that I would have my Utah plastic in hand months before the Texas one.
Likely I still will, actually, since the same exact prints were sent to Austin for the Texas CHL. I expect Austin to send me a rejection letter sooner or later, too.

A Utah CFP is valid in Washington but a PA license and a TX CHL are not.

I wonder if Utah has seen the increase in applicants that Texas has?BigBlueDodge wrote:Class Taken 7/5
