For those who missed out on today's shoot out at his place, you missed a GREAT TIME!!! There were rifles, Class III Full-autos, pistols, movement drills, and an interesting discharge I provided.

When it went off, the round sounded like it was a light load or something. The slide didn't cycle and we were concerned about the round staying in the chamber. I picked up the brass and walked over to the table and I waited about 20 seconds, cleared it, pulled the trigger, disassembled, and pulled out the barrel (which was clear). I looked at the brass and it was quite distorted. Someone suddenly said "Hey... that's a 9mm!!". (*facepalm*) Looks like a 9mm round must have fallen out of my hand when I was trying to load my K9 and fell onto the .40 tray.

When the round went off, it expanded to fill the chamber.

Looks like it'll go off, but then you have to rack to get the next one. I don't recommend it at all.

Brian, thanks for letting us out there. I can't wait to do it again!

You're making the rest of us all very jealous!!!

Sounds like you all had fun and learned a little about 9mm and .40 cal interchangeability.

I have a permit. I am going to move it out of the flood plain so I do not have to do the PE thing.

NEWS FLASH!!!!!

This weekend shoot was great!!! SO did visit out and another neighbor (friend of crazy lady) stated we where shooting 50 full auto. They even called the ATF!!!! We where shooting NFA .308. SO came checked all papers walked the range and was totally okay with it. For the record SO was very nice and was only shaking his head about the neighbors.

I will post more (alot on ar-15.com, Texas area). I do now have a case with SO due to this.

Shallon called (the lady at the shoot that is a wilco paramedic) and she said SO ran a GSW (Gun Shot Wound) call right before and it turned out to the some kids that where going into the creek behind the range (on my land with signage to stay out). They were telling their parents that there was tons of shooting and somehow the call to SO came out as a GSW??? She knows because she talked to the medics that had to come out for it. Just crazy I would think..... Interesting that the SO did not bring this up when he was there. He must have knew that all of this was totally not correct.

With this I would like to announce another shoot next Saturday at 8:00 send me an email address. bfaure@brokengrill.com

Invites have been sent, if you did not get one let me know.
