Could you call it a terrace and try for some sort of ag exemption?

Was the dirt brought in or was it dozed up or excavated from a hole on your property?

Bringing dirt in seems to be what upsets them most.

Also, establish for certain that you're in the flood plain and not the flood WAY.

Restrictions are stricter in a flood way.

As for a 24 hour shoot, make sure your county doesn't have a noise curfew.

While I think he might enjoy it, make sure you understand we haven't been invited (yet :confused5 ) -- that was me instigating. :evil2:
Friends,

All will be invited. All you need to do is email me with your contact info so I can schedule a shoot. I would like to fill each weekend with a shoot. :hurry:

Thank you for your GRACIOUS invitation.

My suggestion is that a LONG and CONTINUOUS shoot will send a more effective message than a lot of shooting in a short time, but mixing up might be cool. 3AM (presuming this is legal) low light shoots might be important.

PS> For those depending on me, I can barely afford MY ammunition.

I'd be sure to check and see what noise restrictions/ordinances are in place. (Typically after 10:00 p.m.)

If you are "good to go" after that, then be certain to inform you local Sheriffs dept and Game Warden (they will appreciate it when they get "the call").

Clearly, you have a neighbor that will consider your get together "spiteful"....so you may as well plan for the authorities to show up.

If I still lived in Austin...I'd be out there giving you a hand. Be safe, have fun!

Oh wow.......I could make a nice scooter ride out of the trip. Ride down saturday......SHOOT ALL NIGHT......ride back sunday. :biggrinjester: :coolgleamA:

If you are setting up weekend shoots maybe you could schedule everyonr from FTW on the same day. Therefore, due to gas prices, we could carpool or all ride (scooter) down together.

Okay Team,

I had a small shoot this morning and was fun, but no visit from SO :???:

I am thinking next Saturday at 8 AM again. I will send email tomorrow to everyone that emailed me for a invite.

This week I plan to do a few things at the range:

1. Put my target wire back up.
2. Police the what brass I left there from today.

For next week I would suggest everyone bring cool water to drink. Also I have two pin tables, however my pins are in bad shape. Today a friend picked up about 10 6-pack of cheap cokes which make great targets and I can recycle them after. When you hit them you let you know.

Keep a look for an email. You can still send email asking... :hurry:

If anyone's heading out there from the DFW area, gimme a shout, maybe we can carpool or something, save on some gas.

I would love to go but I mush restock my ammo first. I am a little low on bullets and primers. I need to save what I have for the local IDPA matches.

Not to mention it will be a couple of more weeks till I get the upper to complete my AR. I will need somewhere to shoot it for sure.

it's an improvement to property that lies in a flood plain and thus has an effect on the flow of water. It may redirect the flow of heavy rains, in which case it must withstand 100-year rains because if it fails it might be catastrophic, or it may act as a dam, in which case, being a simple earthen dam, it will LIKELY fail and release a backwash (and if it's in the Colorado River floodplain the LCRA will want to know about it). The third possibility is that it is neither, but a PE must come out and officially say "this is safe" no matter how it's oriented and built.

You should talk to an attorney. As other have said, making a false report to a peace officer is serious business, but it's up to the SO to seek charges and up to the DA to accept them.

Also, accusing someone of being a dope dealer is slander per se and would support at least nominal damages and a permanent injunction. Letting her know that her conduct has legal consequences may put a stop to the problem.

Chas.
