Yea, just a little. I'm starting to look more at other manufacturers, but all of my discretionary funds are being put aside for mine and my wife's CHL.

Me too. Out of 5 1/2 years, I spent 3 years wearing green.

i spent boot, HM basic, and a month at Pend. Hospital wearing blue, so about 4.5 out of 5 in green. Oh well, we both know where we really belong, so it's ok.

Oops, I guess I should have done this earlier, but better late than never.

Age: 35
Gender: M
Profession/school status: Data Modeler (computer stuff) and working on FFL for on-the-side
Marital status: Married
Years CHL: working on 1
Carry guns/equipment: Colt Combat Commander (HydroShocks) and Kimber UCII (Gold Dot for Short barrel .45)

Other info:
My wife is still waiting on her CHL to be approved.
My 6 yr old has his CtHL (concealed toy handgun license - It isn't unusual for him to have 2 or 3 hidden on him somewhere).
My 2 (almost 3) year old tells people "my daddy shoots bad guys". (I can't seem to break him of that.)
My -5 month old (due in August) is making my wife tired and beautifully large.
Also, I'm who put the M in PPM. If it weren't for me she'd just be PPW. (decoded: I'm her son, not her husband) I'm also not sure why still still calls us her son's "little" family when there are 5 of us and we are all taller than her. ;-)

Hello fellow Texans

I am 46
Male
Married for ever - 27 years
2 kids both married off
1st grandbaby on the way
No CHL yet - Working on it.
What I do - http://www.epsilonquality.com

Recently started collecting milsurp weapons. Makarovs, Stars, tokerov, FEG P9 PA-63, SKS, Rem 870, CZ-52, SW 38 Snub.
Defense weapon is a p-64.

Proud to live in America, proud of my state, and proud of our soldiers. I even support our President

Would like to research the legislation history surrounding the Texas CHL laws. Especially the specific qualification criteria and requirements for obtaining a CHL. Most are common sense and a few make no sense to me at this time.

Happy to be here.

I am new to the CHL community. I have taken my class, and can foresee no problem with getting my CHL. Given that I am former-Army, have no criminal history, and have worked for Harris County as a Jailer. I have yet to receive my license, but expect to as soon as the state gets around to it. I have browsed the forum for a little while this afternoon, and find it very informative. I consider it a great find. Now as for the statistics:

Age: 32
Gender: Male
Profession: Service Tech./Construction
Marital Status: Divorced (Thank God)
Years CHL: New (soon)
Texas State Representative / House District: Rob Eissler / District 15
Carry Guns / Equipment: Kel-Tec P3AT BUG in Galco U.S.A. IWB holster and H&K USP .45 in Galco F.L.E.T.C.H. holster

Yes, I can conceal the big rear H&K .45 My large body frame permits it. As mentioned earlier, I do not yet have my CHL, so I have no experiences to speak of, but my equipment is ready and tried at home.

Hoss (that's what my friends call me anyhow)

Screen Name must have come from your experience. Glad the weapons are practiced at home. Get no argument from me on the ability to conceal a big one. Several of us carry full size in 1911's or the many doublestacks. Welcome to the board.

All guns have at least two safeties. One's digital, one's cognitive. In other words - keep the digit off the trigger until ready to fire, and THINK. Some guns also have mechanical safeties on top of those. But if the first two don't work, the mechanical ones aren't guaranteed. - me

Good job. Just make sure he doesn't forget to leave them locked up in the peddlecar on the kindergarten parking lot.

PPM, I am on your side. My baby is 33 now. Bigger than the ppm in this household & still our "Baby" & "Sis". apowell, man I am glad to know we have a Mom & Son combo on the forum now. Yall keep the sweet chuckles going. Families that shoot together will stay together. You will understand why she calls it her littl family when you are grandparents. Some things just take time young man.

Longtooth, thanks for stickin' up for me! I AM "vertically challenged"...compared to THEM. ;-) I can't reach anything important in their kitchen!!

Wish we DID get to shoot together more. There's a 4-hour drive between us and busy schedules — so we don't see each other as often as I'd like, for SURE! I'll be makin' a trip "up north" for a 3rd birthday very shortly, however. We're already makin' plans to go to the range before I leave! I simply MUST shoot his Kimber! May ALSO get to visit Cheaper Than Dirt. (Of course, we'll have to get pregnant wife's...'permission' first.)

We'll try to give ya' an occasional chuckle here and there.
