Is there room for one more in here?

Greetings to all.

I've been reading the forum for a few days now. Lots of REALLY good information here.

I'm still stuck in the "Packet Mailed to Applicant" stage. Here's my timeline so far;
Submitted Electronic application to DPS on 3/28
Attended CHL class on 3/29
(failed to note when I received my packet/pin from DPS)
Mailed my completed package to DPS on 4/17
DPS signed for receipt of my package on 4/21

Judging by what I've been reading here in the waiting room, its going to be a while before the status changes from "Mailed" to "in process". (it won't keep me from checking daily ;-) ) Let alone "License issued".
So, I guess I'll settle in and keep reading, and practicing at the range. :fire

I'd like to send a out a big thanks to all of you who make this a great information resource. :patriot:

Welcome. Yeah, you'll probably be here for awhile, but it's a good time to figure out what works for holsters and postions before you take it out into the real world.

So grab a chair and a brewsky :cheers2: and again welcome

Welcome to the Jungle!....

You are in for a long wait. But, while waiting - it gives you time to learn. There are so many great people in here to learn from. Just kick back and wait......and wait.....and.....

Congrats on the status change. 73 days and I'm still at the "packet mailed" milemarker.
Ben Franklin once stated that beer is proof that God loves us and wants us to be happy. I tend to agree with him.

I think I'd be going crazy. (It's a short trip).

Greetings to everyone! I've been reading here for a while; thanks to all for posting your times. Here's mine.

CHL Application received at DPS on 2/28/2008.
Status change to "Processing Application" on 3/29/2008
Waiting since then. No change to date.

I like to think I'm getting closer to getting my license.

I am a little fuzzy on what status might be displayed on the DPS Website.
I've see "Packet mailed to Applicant" and "Processing Application".

What others are there? I didn't see any additional information on the DPS website.....maybe I missed it?

Hoping for a speedy license process to us all.....
