They suggest you count money with the door open and vsiible that way ppl can see if you're being robbed I'm thinking If the doors shut they don't see a buncha money so they don't get ideas.who comes up with this stuff,I think they should have the office security claymore mine,eployees know if doors shut don't come in ,bad guys don't know rules barge into office and cleanup will require a mop

Hey TxRancher, I know your not all here but your wife is Right ,She told me that day at the range. I think we need to have a few more lessons on the tactical use of a gun as you are thinking to hard on the draw it should come naturally in these cases.

This looks like more of a cover yourself statement from the San Marcos Police dept. Heaven help us if someone tries to defend themselves and ends up getting hurt. The PD would then be liable for damages because they suggested in print that us lowly sheep do something aggressive.

I much prefer the "spittle-flying psychotically righteously indignant" approach. Done right, it can even make violent drunks back off, and at any rate, it's not what they're expecting, so it can buy you an opening.

When properly angled to the target, OTOH, draw to Weaver stance and fire a controlled pair to center mass. They're not anti-self-defense, they just don't care for isosceles.

Get lots of friends with ropes and cattle prods for that.

Depends on when you spot the problem; if you're staring while he's doing his initial recon, he may decide you're not such an easy target.

Reload first; the phone will be occupying a hand for at least part of the call.

This is when overt observation is most effective. Binoculars, large flash SLR cameras, surveillance cameras, or Panaflexes with full lighting and sound crews may help, unless you're dealing with this guy.

Make sure the camera can also see these; I've been in a few convenience stores that had them positioned where they couldn't be seen by the clerk or the camera, or the camera could only see them at such an angle as to make the measurement useless.
