If there are entrances that aren't posted, can you carry if you go in that way? What if you knew that other entrances were posted?

If you know its posted and it can be proven in court - - - go straight to jail do not collect $200. Hospitals are on the "forbidden" list. Yes, they need effective 30.06 signage. Why take the chance?

No, the forbidden list was never repealed. It is still there, and includes places that derive 51% or more of their income for the sale of alcoholic beverages for on-premises consumption, on the premises where a high school, collegiate, or professional sporting event or interscholastic event is taking place, on the premises of a correctional facility; hospital, nursing home, church, amusement park, government meeting..Kalrog wrote:The forbidden list was repealed in a subsequent session. Without proper 30.06 signs, a hospital is just like any other private location... it was a private hospital, right? How would it work if it was a public hospital?
Only hospitals, amusement parks, churches, and government meetings require the 30.06 sign.

True, I should have said modified. But the current wording makes the above mentioned places exactly the same as any other private establishemt that requires a sign. No sign = CCW all you want. Sign = same as any other sign.txinvestigator wrote:No, the forbidden list was never repealed. <snip>

Something to keep in mind. Most of the hospitals that I know of have cameras practically everywhere. If you try to go in the front entrance and see the sign, then walk around the the back entrance where there is no sign, you were likely caught on camera as you dodged the sign.
Thinking you are legal as you go in the back entrance, it is discovered that you are carrying. You now have a legal problem. Of course if you didn't know about the sign at the front entrance it couldn't be argued that you received effective notice.
Something to think about. Don't let the cameras catch you dodging the sign.
