Re: NRA Life Membership Promotion - ASAP!
Has anyone that joined on this deal gotten any information in the mail? I joined on the last day (Friday) but have not received anything in the mail.

Nope, I joined a couple of weeks ago, nothing in the mail as of yet. Although, I get tons of NRA mailings already, it could have easily been tossed aside like the rest of the insurance offers.

You should pay attention to NRA mail since they should be mailing your ballot soon.dukesean wrote:Nope, I joined a couple of weeks ago, nothing in the mail as of yet. Although, I get tons of NRA mailings already, it could have easily been tossed aside like the rest of the insurance offers.
After that, go back in ignore mode.

MBGuy, I joined Friday the 14th. I phoned the NRA the following week to change the magazine I was to receive, and they said it would take about 4 weeks to get the information packet out.

Re: NRA Life Membership Promotion - ASAP!
I received my life pack today in one envelope and the 2008 Directors Ballot in another one.
Thanks agian to those who started this post.
Being a new voter, how do I research the nominees in order to decide who to vote for. Charles Cotton is a given, but I know noone else.

Re: NRA Life Membership Promotion - ASAP!
It was stated earlier that the extra votes cast actually dilute the effect of the vote for Charles as it adds to the tally he must beat. (If I understood correctly)
So I personally only voted for Charles and Tom Selleck, as Selleck is one of the premier spokespersons for 2nd Amendment issues.
Since then, Charles has posted a recommendation or two. Those could be found by searching or just reading recent posts.
I guess my point is, don't feel pressed to vote for 26 candidates. If they have no significance to you, leave them blank.

I haven't gotten my stuff yet either. I also joined that Friday, thanks Mike1951, and she told me 2 weeks. When does voting end? I haven't really started following any of this stuff yet. I'm anxious to get my information. I really should check out the website and get aquainted a bit.

Received my new membership packet on Friday this last week.
Still haven't received my ballot, though.

I got my ballot yesterday! And there was a great big manilla envelope in there too! I got all excited and I grabbed it to look...... It was free sample packets of baby formula for my kiddo. Well, at least I have my ballot pack.
