Re: How long for DPS to process your CHL
Finally got it today
Nov. 28 to Feb. 7 = 72 days for a renewal with no problems.
My wife hasn't gotten her's yet and the DPS received them the same day. Maybe it's in the mail.
I'm disappointed.

Re: How long for DPS to process your CHL
My wife called to check on her renewal today (78 days and counting). She was told that it came back from the printer defective and they had to remake it. They should receive it back this week and she should get it next week.

Re: How long for DPS to process your CHL
Just thought to check my issue date code.
12/12/2007
It took them almost 2 months to get it to me after it was "issued", over a month to get it to the "manufacturer". My information on the website didn't change until the bitter end.
I guess they were under the 45 day law. It doesn't say when they have to get it to you.

It seems to take about a month from the time DPS receives your paperwork to get your PIN (unless you registered on-line), and another month from that time to completion of the background check.thankGod wrote:14 days and still waiting. What's up with that!?
You seriously need to chill (IMHO).

Re: How long for DPS to process your CHL
I just received my license in the mail today! The time lapsed was 70 days, which included a hiccup in the process because they required additional information due to my having been born overseas. I just got back from my "Wally Walk," which actually took place in a local Target and a local Market Street grocery store. I was carrying a Commander sized Sig 1911, strong side IWB.

Hi, I too were born overseas. What additional info did they require? Thanks in advance. The Annoyed Man wrote:I just received my license in the mail today! Rayden, they wanted a copy of my birth certificate, signed by the U.S. Consul (or other qualified US representative), and a copy of my U.S. passport. Once I got that stuff to them, it only required another 24 days to receive the plastic.Rayden wrote:Hi, I too were born overseas. What additional info did they require? Re: How long for DPS to process your CHL
I was lazy this year and cut it close by waiting until 47 days prior to expiration. Status changed to "issued" on the 45th day after I mailed the application. New license arrived on my birthday, the Monday after the status was updated.
When you take the time out of your day to beat someone, it has a much longer lasting effect on their demeanor than simply shooting or tazing them.

I beg to differ. Why are the options not greater than 80 days? I'm at 72 days for a new application right now and still waiting. I will surely break that 80 day mark and probably the 90 day mark also.rangerpat wrote:DPS is on their game right now!!!
