Taco Cabana In Spring Posted 30.06
This is the on the north bound feeder near Louetta in Spring.
The wife and I tried to go for lunch. As we were walking in, right there clear as a bell right next to the front door in English and Spanish was a proper 30.06 sign. The odd thing was the right next to the proper sign was the "unlicensed possession" sign. So side by side were one sign that said a CHL could and another that said a CHL couldn't.
We honored thier wishes by eating ar Denny's.

The " unlicensed possession " sign is required by the TABC, the 30.06 is because they want to post and when it is correctly posted that would indicate to me that they went to the trouble to do some reading and knew what they were doing.
I won't do business with them.

I was wondering if the "unlicensed possession" sign was posted because they serve beer. It still seemed cantradictory to have both signs.ElGato wrote:The " unlicensed possession " sign is required by the TABC, the 30.06 is because they want to post and when it is correctly posted that would indicate to me that they went to the trouble to do some reading and knew what they were doing.

The 30.06 was a proper one. Maybe I was wrong, but it just didn't feel worth it to go back to the car and disarm so that I could legally enter to tell them why I won't eat there.Did you notify the manager? They may be ignorant and think that they need both of the signs due to the sale of alcohol.
After more having more time to think it over, I probably should have. It may not change anything, but these business need to know that they are loosing money by posting that sign.

The Taco Cabana around here is NOT posted. At least it wasn't a couple weeks back when I last ate there.dws1117 wrote:Seems as if it's a company policy and not individual stores. I'll make a drive by of another in the area and see if it's posted. If so then an e-mail to the corporate office will be in order.
And as for disarming to let the manager know, I would probably call him or ask that he meet me outside. Then hand him one of the TSRA cards and inform him that the policy has already cost him business and will continue to do so from you and everyone you talk to at places like this forum.

I am with you dws. I am verry vocal about My Lord, My 2nd Amendment, & our soldiers, but I ain't going to the truck, disarming, & returning to hear "it is for the safety of our customers" and loosing my apetite.

I've been a real ass about it in the past. For instance, this movie theater in Scottsdale that was posted with the equivilant of 30.06: (and didn't have the legally mandated safe storage for my gun) I went and bought tickets at the unattended kiosk, then went to the window to geet my money back, while handing them one of "those cards" Apparently it's a real pain for them to refund money when you purchase tickets from the kiosk. I even made a word document to make your own, converted for Texas use.here.
Kinkos can print 'em out and make real cards for you for cheap.

I've heard of and seen cases where businesses accidentally posted the wrong sign. It happens. Since they posted both signs, it was probably a mistake. (They had both signs and thought they were required to put both of them up or some such)

our taco c in college station is posted with 8." x 11" piece of paper and quarter inch letters located BEHIND the counter. They usually have a sheriffs deputy later in the evening (when I usually go since everything else is closed) and I struck up a conversation with him and he said he wouldnt arrest anyone for carrying there.

That is what I was thinking... mistake. The proper 30-06 sign covers all bases, yes? I mean, if you have one that bars ALL CHL holders from entering, doesn't that cover the "unlicensed posession" signs that are required at places that server liquor and then some?Paladin wrote:I've heard of and seen cases where businesses accidentally posted the wrong sign.
