Glad I wasn't there.............

#1

Post by progun47 »

Citibank on Harvey road in College Station was robbed this morning. I am in the bank 2-3 times a week, but thankfully not today. I drove past the bank on the way back from the barber shop and saw police cars and the yellow tape across the door. The news crews were just arriving.
I checked it out online and a white male aprox 30 walked in and demanded money, according to the story, he showed no weapon. Several customers were in the bank at the time, but no one was hurt, he left on foot , the story goes.
This is the 2nd bank robbery in College Station in less than a week. I don't know what's going on over here.

llwatson,

That was my first thought also. There have been people complaining about the tuition increases lately but I did not think they had gotten this serious yet.

Well, if that is what they are going for they need to pick somewhere else to rob, the first robbery only netted $300.00 dollars according to the paper. When will people realize that banks are the worst place to rob, first it get the FBI on your tail then there is really not much money to be had from the tellers. You could get much more, without the FBI getting involved if you robbed a large food store. But I guess you can't cure stupid. I only hope that the guy that robbed Citibank stole my boat loan info, LOL

Weird. I've done that many times before -- walk into a bank, demand money, show no weapon, leave on foot -- but never had the police get involved.

They probably heard about Citi's "no FTF gun policy" and figgered it'd be a safe place to rob.

When I saw the title of this thread, I couldn't help but think back to Brian Hoffner's presentation/class Saturday morning.
