Re: wifey involved?
My wife qualified first time for both licenses at instructor school. I try to get her a gun for every one I get. Or one for me for everyone she gets. She doesn't always go to the range with me, but she is proficient.

I suspect it's a play on "Men are from Mars, Women are from Venus" and since she uses "Venus Pax" as her screen name, . . .dukalmighty wrote:Why you call him "mars" cause he's outta this worldfinally got Mars to take the CHL class. AFter that, it took awhile for him to make time to mail it all in.

It is said that if you line up all the cars in the world end-to-end, someone would be stupid enough to try to pass them

Venus is the mythical (and fictional) goddess of love, and Pax means peace. Unless someone takes it too far, I'm generally a peaceful person and don't like fighting, violence, etc.
I also thought Pax could be funny after Venus on a gun forum, as in packs (heat), allowing one to picture the goddess of love with a handgun.

Re: wifey involved?
My wife carries. She does not "enjoy" range practice but she understands the necessity of being able to operate the firearm proficiently. She used to enjoy it when she was younger. Not the ideal, but I'll take it.
