What's the Origin of Your User Name?
Moderator: carlson1
Lykoi - from when i was in Jr. High... was a huge fan of werewolves, and my football teammates called me werewolf b/c i was the calmest nicest kid 99% of the time, but when the helmet went on i was cruel and pretty much evil...
I quit football in high school for "knee reasons", but in all honesty it was as much the fact that i didn't like who i was when i played football.
Lyken - the supposed "species name'
Lykoi - the singular masculine form of werewolf....
it's just stuck with me since then.

None can love freedom heartily, but good men; the rest love not freedom, but licence.

My cousin is half Japanese and does the same thing when he drinks. He is 39 and still turns red, so unfortunately I don't think it will stop anytime soon.

This has to be one of the most interesting collection of posts I've ever seen.
I've always been a huge fan of the Iditarod Sled Dog Race, AKA The Last Great Race on Earth, and, when we lived in Alaska, got to go to a few of the real starts. Nikolai is one of the checkpoints on the Iditarod Trail. I use Nicolai because I can't spell.

The breed of choice of my family, me,Father, Grandfather, reportedly generations before that too. Strangely enough when the family tree was traced, the trail went cold in Rottweil, Germany. Coincidence?

I chose Bluedot 40 simply because I reload for my 40S&W's with Bluedot powder.

No imagination here. I use some variation on most forums.

Re: What's the Origin of Your User Name?
I retired recently from the US Air Force after 22 1/2 years. For a good number of those years I flew as a crewmember on
AC-130H (Spectre) gunships. The "381" comes from the last military unit I was assigned to before I retired. I also use the name on a couple of other forums. In my spare time I ride a Honda CRF250R (dirtbike) and have "381" on the number plates.
