Got PIN

I got my PIN from DPS this evening. I checked already and of course it said "Processing".

Just wanted to share the news. I guess it will take about 2 more months to get the plastic.

I took my class on 11/10. Mailed paperwork on 11-16 or 11-23. (I think?) I cant remember which one.

Am I the only one that checks the DPS page about 10 times a day to see if the status changes? Wow I don't know if I can do this for another, who knows how many weeks!



Anybody know how long McLennan (Waco) county takes for background checks?

cagstorm - can't answer the Waco question but you may be closer than you think.... I submitted my package on 11/1, got my PIN around 12/1 and the plastic came today (a little over three weeks after getting the PIN). Hope you get yours soon!

well, its been a month since dps got my package and still nutin... the site still says processing.

I just counted it up. It has been 45 days since DPS got my application. That includes weekends and holidays.

I suppose I will keep counting for a while!

i got my plastic exactly ten days after i got the PIN letter, well more like 8 working days...good luck

How long after you submitted your application did you get the PIN? My PIN came almost exactly 1 month after Austin got my application.

DPS got my packet on Nov 19th. I got PIN on December 19th. Maybe by January 19th I will get my plastic!

I was excited to find my PIN in the mail today but not so much when I went to check it and it didnt work. I called and waited 15 mins to talk to someone to find that they had my B-Day as 5/11 instead of 8/11 I was happy to hear that was the problem but not so much as it worries me someone messed up doing other stuff and it may have went deeper than just the website issue  He said it shouldnt and I would be able to check it in a day or two.I sent my packet in at the first of December so I guess I am looking forward to another 30 days
