Lost Wallet...and everything inside.

Post by TXGLOCK23 »

I already mailed my $25.00 in and emailed DSP to be sure they recieved everything. They replied that they were waiting on my lost CHL to be returned from the printers. Anyone been through a lost CHL before? Any ideas on how long it normally takes to get my plastic back?
I had one of the shortest time lines here for the original and shouldn't have bragged so much I guess. lol.
I still carry w/o the plastic because according to everything I've read, the LEOs will have it in their computers, if I am ever stopped or questioned about it. Any comments? Should I leave the weapon in my truck or keep it under my control?

I can sympathize. I once lost my wallet in France. Life gets interesting when you have about $2 in change and some memorized phone numbers.

Just drive carefully and good luck.

I would NOT carry without the plastic.

And it usually takes about 10 days to 2 weeks to get a replacement.

Another reason to have a non-resident permit (like a Utah CFP) from a state that has reciprocity with TX. That way, you'll never have to go without.
I am scared of empty guns and keep mine loaded at all times. The family knows the guns are loaded and treats them with respect. Loaded guns cause few accidents; empty guns kill people every year. -Elmer Keith. 1961
