Why Use Eye Protection

#1

Post by carlson1 »

I used to be the “one” who hated eye protection. It has been years if not decades that I begin to always wear eye protection of some kind.

I seen this photo and it shows you why you SHOULD always wear eye protection.

Holy crap! I always wear eye and ear protection. In the 80's saw a guy get hit on the hand with a richocet at an IHMSA event.

I should not have seen that.

Having confidence that the gun won’t explode when you pull the trigger I’m sure improves my accuracy.

Just a rough guess, but I think it is a Walther PDP

You are probably right. I thought it looked a lot like S&W SD. What throws it off to me is the “Glock Like” trigger.

Carlson got it right, I think.

He should have bought a Glock.

The serrations on the front of the slide are different. But on further examination, that also rules out my earlier guess of a Walther PDP. Now I have no idea. I can't find anything with the slide serrations quite like it shows.

Well, whatever it was, it was striker fired. Should have stuck with 1911s.

Could have been either a squib load or over powered hand load which with either one would have taken out pretty much most handguns.
