Did I see it correctly, or did the woman out side remain standing and may be only slightly injured vs the woman who was inside and who was pushed by the glass wall out of the picture at a high speed?

I don't believe it is correct to equate atomic bomb yields which are measured in terms of equivalent weights of TNT (Kilotons). This would only be correct if the energy yielded by 1 measure of TNT is equal to the energy released by exploding the same measure of Ammonium Nitrate.

/pedant
The Relative effectiveness factor of Ammonium nitrate is 0.42 . So 1 ton of Ammonium nitrate is the equivalent of 0.42 tons TNT

I don't believe it is correct to equate atomic bomb yields which are measured in terms of equivalent weights of TNT (Kilotons). This would only be correct if the energy yielded by 1 measure of TNT is equal to the energy released by exploding the same measure of Ammonium Nitrate.

/pedantry
The Relative effectiveness factor of Ammonium nitrate is 0.42 . So 1 ton of Ammonium nitrate is the equivalent of 0.42 tons TNT
So, 3031.356 US tons (2750 metric tons) x .42 = 1,273.16952 tons of TNT, or 1.273 kilotons ... or about equivalent to the low end of a a W45 tactical nuclear warhead's dial-a-yield of between 1 and 15 kilotons (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/W45).

So there is some usefulness to compare the Beirut explosion to a nuke, because it helps lend a sense of scale. The scary part for me isn’t that the Beirut explosion equaled the low end of nuclear explosion scale, it’s that the W45 warhead had a diameter of 11.5 inches, a length of 27 inches, and weighed just 150 pounds .... as opposed to filling an entire warehouse and weighing 3031 US tons.

If the incompetence of terrorists storing ammonium nitrate could do what it did in Beirut, what could terrorists accomplish with one of the world's missing man-portable nukes? This explosion was a terrible tragedy, but it was also likely a once in a lifetime event for the simple reason of how difficult it would be for them to accumulate that much fertilizer again in one place without a lot of people noticing. By comparison, sneaking a nuke into the country (any country) would be relatively easy if one became available to them.

So sad. I saw many videos of innocent casualties but did dare to share them online
I think we’re all grateful that he wasn’t killed, and that nobody else in Beiruty's family was killed or injured.

Geez, look at that structural damage where he was. Wow. All things considered, it looks like a greater power was watching out for him.

I can't get newsflare to display anything more than a blank white page. :(

It loaded for me; took a little bit but I'm always behind a VPN. On a 26" monitor, this was a pretty amazing look at how it proceeded. The cars on the roadway in the mid-foreground give a good idea of the actual timing. First time through, the video looks like it was running at either normal frame rate or just slightly slowed, like maybe .75, but shows the whole lead-up with small arms munitions cooking off or fireworks, and you see how long it actually took before the ammonium nitrate actually detonated. From there the blast is on top of the camera in a heartbeat. The subsequent pass slows it way down, but doesn't show all the fireworks stuff, just some. But, wow, do get a full sensation of the power of that blast. In slow motion you see the shockwave absolutely dismantle multistory buildings and everything in its path, and you can see exactly where the shockwave is as it rips stuff apart.

As of 12 hours ago the reported death toll stands at 158. But it's hard to believe if those buildings within a half-mile of the blast were even 20% occupied, that the death toll won't climb considerably as more of the area is cleared.
