I sure hope the officer is OK. Since the officer shot & killed the stabber, I hope his command stands with him.
Honestly, in today's environment, who would want to be a police officer. You receive low pay, a target on your back and if you have to defend yourself, you are thrown under the bus faster than you can say Martin Luther King, Jr.

I sincerely doubt the officer will have any issues with Plano PD command staff, nor the city council. Plano PD has historically had a very good relationship with the community. I know this officer. Used to work with him at the PD. He is scheduled to retire next month.
According to other officers, his wounds were mostly superficial.
