Woke UT football players demand school rename stadium eliminate Eyes of Texas, school song.

If I remember in 2015 U of Missouri football players did something similar after some vague racial acts and it didn’t go well for the school.
President and Chancellor both fired. Coach sided with players and I think kept his job. Enrollment dropped next few years. Spike Lee made a movie.

Racism public health emergency.
I guess no UT graduates on this forum?

I didn’t go there. So seems an over reach to me. But I’m sure the President of UT doesn’t want to lose his job.

BTW the song is on the moon. Maybe there will have to be a special new moon mission to retrieve it.

My son graduated from there several years ago. I didn't respond because my response would have violated forum rules. :mad5

Man being arrested in Atlanta fights with police officer grabs his taser, is shot and killed.

Officer fired. Police Chief resigns.

Protestors set fire to Wendy’s where he died. Sets fire to cars closes the interstate.

Stay alive, don’t get drunk and pass out in your car in the drive thru line at Wendy’s, then don’t fight with the cops who want to arrest you. It’s pretty simple.

There is a plethora of peaceful protests, not shown by MSM readily as it doesn’t generate enough kick for their ratings. Every day there are cases of black officers saving white person and of a white officer saving black. Same, that isn’t reported as much or at all since it isn’t as sexy as thugs in the streets.
As for the parties/persons and more importantly the enemy Nations responsible for staging riots and bricks, aiding thugs and working to instill unrest, they are being watched and will be handled, make no mistake about it.

I never thought about applying it to this point, but I do understand why Parabellum is right about things happening every day and not getting reported. There is an old precept that the news must report the unusual and not the usual. If it happens every day, it is not news. The explanation given in journalism school is that "dog bites man" is not news but "Man bites dog" is. This is part of why the media drives cases of police shooting balck men so much. They are the rare cases so they make the news. This is why the average murder in Chicago is not covered and we are not surprised by the number of murders there.

When I first heard the case in Atlanta, it was a news report that the Chief of Police had resigned over it. And it was no a full resignation, just from the position of Chief. She is still employed by the city. I read the details and asked why there was any question about that shooting. Every step of it was handled as correctly as possible by the officer involved, as far as I can tell. The mayor fired him, with no investigation, just because it was a shooting. We can effectively right off Atlanta now. It will burn again, and this time it isn't a Yankee general doing it. Somehow, I see most of the cops will stop being proactive and doing their jobs. Anyone who resists in any way will be allowed to run off. No punishment for criminals means they will continue to commit crimes.

Should someone note that we now have an official position from Atlanta and the media that Tasers are not lethal weapons? The mayor said they should not have shot him because he was not armed with a lethal weapon. Weren't they protesting a couple years ago how many people got killed by Tasers? Of course, consistency in the media would be news, so no one will comment on this lack thereof.

CNN news crew arrested on live TV in Minneapolis.

So how many amendments does that violate. Two?

Police please don’t bump their ratings.

with all the protests and burning down of property and congress in a tizzy about renaming bases and or ships. When does congress abolish the congressional black caucus? only people that can be members of it are black people. so in itself its racist, and being run by racist congressional leadership.

BLM protestor body found after disappeared from protest. Accepted a ride from a man in clergy clothes.
Probably wasn’t with the clergy. Her body was found with the body of another woman.

Classic! I mean if all these drivers are going to get arrested/attacked for normal driving behavior... what did the police/rioter's think would happen?

No doubt, the driver will very likely be arrested for assault with a motor vehicle, leaving the scene of an accident, etc. etc.

Don’t read this it will just raise your blood pressure.

Talks about slave patrols today.

Contrasts the open up protests in Minneapolis with the later BLM protests and how different the police actions were.
