Only thing that really stuck out to me was that churches were given a loophole on the gathering ban.

The order overrides the contradictory local orders. One of the complaints is that restrictions were not consistent, entity to entity. The fight between Collin County and McKinney is one. The closing of gun related businesses in some places is another. Given the arrest of the preacher in Florida, it looks like our Governor has preempted the same thing happening here.

It’s hitting too close to home now. My 95 yr old mother lives in an assisted living facility back in California. I got the following text sent to me and my youngest brother today by our middle brother:

Dudes: The [name of facility] has its first case — a server in the kitchen whose only shift was Sunday was sent home after not feeling well and later tested positive. I heard this from an email that the facility’s owner has been sending out periodically to update family members. I read from a couple of reliable sources that transmission through food handling, though not impossible, is less likely based on what is known about the nature of this virus. Although I talked to mom earlier yesterday, and although I assume she is probably aware of the situation, I don’t plan to bring it up with her unless she does. Curiously, though, she asked me to make sure I had my contacts with cremation services handy. No joke. Anyway, just wanted to keep you apprised.

several friends are very angry about the big church meeting that happened in FL, and one of my friend's parents are ill because of the church meeting in Ark, although I think one actually happened right before things really broke out.
Apparently the pastor in FL has been arrested, I have a feeling he'll be released pretty quickly....for the same reason gun stores are being reopened, The Constitution. Just as our government is learning about the 2nd Amendment, they apparently need to relearn the 1st and stop threatening Churches.
Now....do I think it's right or safe to hold church services? I don't know....probably not, but it should be up to the church, not the government.
