Police respond to shooting at Saugus High School in Southern California

Police in Southern California are responding to a shooting at a high school Thursday morning. The Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department said on Twitter there was a shooting at Saugus High School in Santa Clarita.

The sheriff's department described a suspect as an Asian male who was last seen at the school.

Here is my prediction. The media will not give as much focus to this shooting because they will not want to dilute the theatrics in D.C. right now. There will be coverage but not the wall-to-wall kind after Odessa.

2 dead plus the 16 year old ( today is his birthday ) shooter who is in critical condition with a self inflicted head wound.

I'm in no way smarter than anyone. But I am almost certain that liberals don't believe in their gun control policies any more than they do any of the other tripe that they try to foist on us. Each is an incremental step towards total government control. They are very patient. They are very focused. They never give up. They have the policy du jour that will gain more power. They recognize as well as we do that gun owners pose a threat to that on several levels.

I'm reading "Why Meadow Died". It is a book partially written by her father Andrew Pollack about his daughter who was one of the victims in the Parkland shooting. It is eye opening in the depth of the folly in the liberal policies and bloated government incompetence. It is clear that those in charge of the policies did not believe in them because they never carried them out. It was the worst possible combination of self-serving actions and total abandonment of responsibility. I'll be surprised if the shooter in this incident was not already known to school authorities and potentially law enforcement, too.

Fortunately, our Founding Fathers passed "common sense" gun control when they added the Bill of Rights. They even ordered that no changes to their gun controls should be made.
