It's an odd-looking thing, for sure - and yes, we'll get together.

I have a suppressor-kit arriving today - here we go with the eFile again... and submitted. Now we wait.

Can you share the source of the kit? I have been thinking about it and heard that e-file Form 1 with trust is running around a month?

Sweet looking Ruger .

I have an M&P 22 made by Walther and it's completely reliable. After reading all of the horror stories I did a bunch of research and my top three choices were the Browning Buckmark, the Ruger and the M&P 22. My LGS didn't have a Buckmark, I really wanted to handle one before buying. Stories about how difficult it was to field strip the Ruger made me think twice about that one. My LGS had the M&P 22 in stock so that one followed me home.

I bought a threaded barrel for it and machined a suppressor (I have stamps for a .22, a .30 and a 5.56) which turned out to be quite effective - good thing because I spent a bunch of time machining the cones, it was a very fun lathe and vertical mill project.

The .22 pistol is staged by our front door (along with a scoped Ruger 10/22) for varmint control, it's a bunch faster to deploy than the rifle and being quiet is a bonus,

I also bought a .22 conversion kit for my Sig P226, thought it would be easier to train with as opposed to the .357 Sig caliber.

I have the ruger sr22. A fun plinker and have yet to discover any ammo it wont eat...

Tho not mentioned... A favorite of mine is the Colt .22 (Also known as the 'Cadet' early on before Colt was forced to remove the 'cadet' name)
While no longer made, it is a tack driver! Easy to take down and clean.
Even tho it was last made back in the 90's it still looks every bit 'modern' than anything else today.
One day I'd like to find the 6 inch barrel for it..
If you ever have an opportunity to buy one..I'd highly recommend it!

To engrave my suppressors I used a Dremel-like tool (actually a Proxxon with a flexible shaft) with a tiny diamond bit. I used a label maker for a character "stencil" and stuck that on the can and put the can in a drill press vise. Then I simply followed the characters on the label with the diamond bit.The lettering turned out quite nicely for doing it by hand. I did practice my setup before engraving the cans.
