Beto plans to force buybacks of all AR and AK style rifles if elected president.

To that I say...

Good luck. :tiphat: :patriot: :fire

Instead of "throwing them in the river" or loosing them. Seams like something needs to take place. I wonder what our Founding Fathers would do in this situation?

I just did some really quick and dirty research and math.

Between 2000-2914 5.7 million ARs were sold. At $500 each each that would be 3 trillion dollars.

Yeah that sounds about right, I'm guessing since they don't have the money to do that they would hand out a IOU. Of course you would have to accept it with no questions asked. Plus this is a nice way of saying gun confiscation or go to jail. They love throwing that word "felony" around to scare people into submission don't they.

This aligns with my way of thinking. When the time has come to hide our weapons, then maybe it's time to put them to use.

Agreed. I don't believe it will come to that in this election cycle, but am prepared for whenever it eventually does.

Meh. He might as well promise a unicorn in every home and starship ride to anyone who wants one.
He has no chance of getting the nomination, much less elected.
He can promise anything - he'll never have to deliver.

Biden wants a buy-back program too.
