They are the state media of the Wahabbist Qatari government. Perfect example of the mind-numbing alliance between radical religious ideology and the left.

The left lies about everything. Truth is a liberal value, and truth is a conservative value, but it has never been a left-wing value. People on the left say whatever advances their immediate agenda. Power is their moral lodestar; therefore, truth is always subservient to it. - Dennis Prager

Apparently the crosshairs are from inside and outside the NRA. Glad Al Jazeera didn't uncover anything damaging since the NRA insiders appear to be doing enough via the infighting.

Apparently some of you take those letters as gospel, without the slightest evidence.

Re: NRA in the crosshairs
It's not a matter of if we take them as gospel or if they are true or not. They do damage from a public perception perspective. Rather than getting upset and responding to those of us on the same side of the issue as the NRA, maybe it would be good to respond to those that want and do believe those letters. Also, it's not just the letters that people are seeing or hearing. Did you watch Fox News a few minutes ago?Charles L. Does no good to lash out at us. It would be nice to see the NRA respond with some credible, believable and forthcoming responses. I suspect just saying all is well with the mother ship is not going be sufficient to squelch turmoil.

I wish that had been published and widely publicized to the membership well ahead of the AM.bblhd672 wrote: ↑Mon Apr 29, 2019 3:16 pm Open letter(s) to the NRA Board of Directors

Re: NRA in the crosshairs
The NRA is always in the cross hairs. The members are portrayed as the most evil people in society by the media and certain politicians because the NRA is the poster child for disarmament of the citizens which would then allow complete socialism.
There are hunters who think we shouldn't have AR-15's. There are people with AR-15's who think people shouldn't have suppressors or fully automatic weapons. I'm sure there are people with pistols for self defense who think people shouldn't hunt. The media gets all of us at each other's throats when we all have a common denominator, firearm ownership.
I know the above sounds like a straw man argument but... years ago in a duck blind with my father-in-law, he told me that nobody needs an AR-15 while holding a semi auto shotgun. I asked him if he knew that the sporting use exclusion was the only reason he could have a semi auto 12ga shotgun and that it wasn't about needs but the 2nd Amendment said I could have an AR-15. That was the end of talking about guns or politics with him as I did enjoy hunting with him. Last year, he started asking me about AR's. I let him hold my different rifles and AR pistol to get a feel for what he wanted. The family pitched in this last Christmas and got him one for a present.
Yes the NRA has some faults. I think the grading system for politicians needs to be changed. It's too easy to get an A rating from the NRA and keep it. I think those in leadership might be in there too long not because they have done a bad job but politics have changed and I do not see the NRA adapting as fast. And no, I do not know what they need to do but I do like how some (particularly Dana Loesch and Colion Noir) have adapted to today's media and fight back. Also, I know it shouldn't matter but they (Dana and Colion) are not old white dudes. This is coming from someone who in a couple of decades will be an old white dude and is a lifetime NRA member.

In certain extreme situations, the law is inadequate. In order to shame its inadequacy, it is necessary to act outside the law to pursue a natural justice.

Changes always need to be made in all large organizations because complacency and corruption take hold.

Publishing unauthenticated attacks on the NRA, or anyone else for that matter, is irresponsible. That's what you did and now you are offended by my response. Don't expect to me to respond to complete garbage by proving a negative.mojo84 wrote: ↑Mon Apr 29, 2019 6:09 pmIt's not a matter of if we take them as gospel or if they are true or not. I'm on the Finance Committee and I'm Chairman of the Audit Committee. The bogus claims, but I cannot and will not discuss it further in an open forum. You can believe me or not, but no one is going to use the Forum to slander the NRA.

How to sell a massacre: NRA's playbook, revealed
Three-year undercover sting reveals how US's National Rifle Association handles public opinion after deadly gun attacks. The NRA's playbook on mass shootings came to light during the course of a three-year undercover sting by Al Jazeera's Investigative Unit. Rodger Muller, an Australian undercover reporter who infiltrated the gun lobbies in the US and Australia, used a hidden camera to record a series of meetings between representatives of the NRA and One Nation in Washington, DC in September last year.

Re: NRA in the crosshairs
I did not publish those. I scared a link to a hit piece that was coming out regarding the NRA to make people on The Forum of where of what was coming. My aunt's comment was not an indication that I believed it but it was an indication of the damage it could do out in the public perception.
You are absolutely wrong in assuming just because someone shares something they endorse or believe it. It's obvious you are irritated and you're lashing out at me over a misunderstanding that is what is a responsible.
