2019 New LTC Processing Timeline...

Now the wait begins.

It’s being 1 week (4/6/2019) since the status of my application changed to MAILED and I still didn’t receive the plastic :-(

overall time since I’ve submitted my application: 60 days

Super frustrated that I’m waiting over a week to get the plastic, while I’m reading other posts and some guys received the plastic in 2,3 days after the status changed to mailed.

Anyone else is waiting or waited for 1 week or more to get the plastic after mailed?

I read somewhere you can call DPS,and see what the hold up is. But 60 days is the max. It's all up to them,ball is in there court.

01/28- Applied for Texas LTC, Also received confirmation email same day.
01/29- Completed finger prints
02/06- Status update, everything green except background

....SEVERAL DAYS LATER....

04/10- Background check green, print pending
04/13- Mailed
04/15- Received LTC.

75(ish) days in total.

I received my confirmation email on 1/28 as well. I am yet to receive my LTC. What I find hilarious is that I mailed the application for my Arizona license on 3/12. They mailed it back to me because the needed the instructor's NRA number. I resubmitted the Arizona application on 3/29 and I received my license in the mail today. Texas DPS is a joke.

Yes. The statutory requirement is that they issue or notify you within 60 days, not 60 business days or weekdays. So, weekend days are included in the 60.

Part of the issue though is the fact that the day you receive your confirmation email is not the day the actually start processing your application. For example, I received my confirmation email on 1/28/19 but when I called they told me that the did not begin processing the application until 2/5/19. My wife submitted hers on 3/28/19 but they just started processing it on 4/10/19.

That's what I thought but I've seen difference of opnion on these forums. I wonder what dps says. Thanks though.

True. When she gave me a date that was 1 and a half weeks after in turned green I was like huh. But you are correct. It's better to call and get the exact date they started and count from there. Lady told me it would be somewhere around end of April. BUT there's some people that were taken over the 60 day mark so who knows.

Well rejoice brother! You're already there. I'm just starting. Getting the feeling I won't see mine till June or later. Sucks but they could care less. Just like people at the dmv, they hate their job and make sure other people get the misery to accompany them. JMO

dont like it when people are so unhappy that they can not stand to see someone else happy.
