I'm new here.
Seems there are 3 main things to do; submit an application, get fingerprinted, take the course.
In what order are these steps supposed to be taken?
I've read some posts but I'm not straight on this.

Re: Everything in proper order
Order isn't really important. You typically schedule your prints when you submit your paperwork after the class, but you can take the class before or after you submit your application. To minimize steps, I'd recommend taking the class, then submitting application/LTC-100 and scheduling prints.

I did application, prints, class. Was about 2.5 months from application to card in hand. So I wouldn't sweat the particular order too much.

To me, it’s best to first take course, then pay/apply online, then get prints taken, & lastly submit your documents (including receipt from fingerprint place).

Depending on where you take your class, you may find that they take the fingerprints and photo, too. The place I went (Lone Star Handgun in San Antonio) did that, and it was very convenient.

Re: Everything in proper order
My students typically do application/prints/class, then submit the LTC-100 the next day. Some recent students have gotten their plastic in 10-12 days.
